Overview

Lynx’s extensive renovation of an existing tile warehouse and distribution center will result in a new, state-of-the-art 74,000 square-foot shelter facility – representing the first no-kill animal shelter opened by Miami-Dade County administration. Extensive renovations of the existing 61,112 square-foot warehouse will ultimately provide a total of 418 canine and feline adoption cages – 25% more than currently available through the County’s existing Shelter in Medley, Florida – 173 surface parking spaces for staff and public use, a state-of-the-art public clinic and operating rooms, and roadway improvements for increased traffic flow along a portion of NW 78th Ave. The project’s planned duration is 365 calendar days.
